Walk-in cooler or freezer with glass display doors for convenience store, liquor store, flower store or any commercial refrigeration applicationConvenience Store Display and Storage Walk-in Coolers and Walk-in Freezers:
In a convenience store it is important to create an attractive product display area that will encourage your customers to buy.

However, it is equally critical to select the correct refrigeration systems and panel construction in order to maintain products at the proper temperature at all times. If your customer has selected a "cold" drink, then it is important to the long term success of your store that the drinks are, in fact, cold! With a wide variety of options in glass display doors and the ability to customize the size of your storage area to fit the space available, Worldwide Refrigeration Industries can design an efficient walk-in cooler or walk-in freezer as well as a display that will enhance the overall appearance of your store.

Critical to the successful storage and display of flowers is creating the proper environment to assure their freshness for the longest possible time. It is essential to maintain the proper temperature and humidity as well as the appropriate air flow or flowers may dry out and loose their merchantability. This could result in a major loss for your business. At Worldwide Refrigeration we can provide the proper refrigeration equipment in a walk-in cooler sized to fit your requirements for storage or display. We also take great care in the construction of our panels surrounding the glass doors so that they are properly reinforced. Add our custom design ability and a wide variety of options in display windows to your personal input and your floral displays will command the attention of anyone passing by.

Cigar Storage:
The value of tobacco products is directly related to their freshness. Maintaining the proper temperature and relative humidity within the storage room are key factors in order to uphold the quality of tobacco when it is placed in long term storage. Worldwide Refrigeration Industries can propose the proper refrigeration systems based on the amount of tobacco to be stored and design a walk-in cooler to make the best possible use of the space you have available.

Storage Warehouses:Illustration of a walk-in freezer or walk-in cooler, insulated swing doors, insulated sliding doors and dock seals for any walk-in freezer, walk-in cooler, blast freezer, ice storage, refrigerated warehouse, processing room, cold storage, commercial refrigeration or industrial refrigeration application.
When investing in a storage warehouse facility, it is important to remember the most costly part of your investment is most often the product which you are storing. Depending on the type of product, it's tolerance to temperature changes within the storage room will vary. But in all cases, a loss of temperature caused by equipment failure can be a very costly problem. Through the proper design of redundant refrigeration systems, you can protect your investment. Talk to us at Worldwide Refrigeration and see how cost effectively you can assure the quality of your products in long term storage.

Walk-in freezer or walk-in cooler with insulated sliding doors and refrigeration equipment (including condensing units and evaporators) for any walk-in freezer, walk-in cooler, blast freezer, ice storage, refrigerated warehouse, processing room, cold storage, commercial refrigeration or industrial refrigeration application. When designing any large walk-in cooler or walk-in freezer, it is important that optional construction techniques are understood before you make a final decision on how you will proceed with your project. For example, our experienced personnel can review options available to insulate large floor areas and the advantages of each for your particular location and operation. Equally important is the selection of the proper type, size and location of insulated doors to add to the efficiency of your overall operation.

Walk-in freezer or walk-in cooler processing room with refrigeration equipment (including condensing units and evaporators) for any walk-in freezer, walk-in cooler, blast freezer, ice storage, refrigerated warehouse, cold storage, commercial refrigeration or industrial refrigeration application.Processing Rooms:
In the design of processing rooms, care must be taken to achieve the proper temperature and humidity to maintain your product for the period of time that it remains in this area. However, an additional criteria is added when you must take into consideration that people, as well as product, must spend an extended length of time in these work rooms. At Worldwide Refrigeration we have the experience and knowledge to blend the requirements of your employees and your product in order to achieve a design which will provide an effective and comfortable processing operation.

With the various styles of pallet racking systems available, it is important to know and understand the advantages that each one offers and how it may apply to your particular situation. Taking into consideration such things as: the size of your operation, type and volume of product, how it is being stored, the frequency of rotation and sequence of access, we would be pleased to use our years of experience to suggest some possible lay outs and options for the pallet racking system within your walk-in cooler or walk-in freezer warehouse. Spending the time to review all aspects of your operation before determining the final design of your warehouse can have a dramatic impact on the overall effectiveness of your personnel as well as make the best possible use of the substantial investment you are making in cold storage space.

Illustration of walk-in blast freezer or walk-in blast cooler with refrigeration equipment (condensing units and evaporators) for any walk-in freezer, walk-in cooler, refrigerated warehouse, cold storage, commercial refrigeration or industrial refrigeration application.Blast Freezer:
During the process of freezing, most products will lose a percentage of their original moisture content. The faster a product can be frozen, the more you can minimize the dehydration that takes place. Reducing the amount of moisture lost not only helps to maintain the original freshness of a product but also lessens the weight loss which occurs during freezing. When products are sold by the pound this has a direct impact on your profit margins. In a blast freezer, as illustrated above the type and volume of product to be frozen is the key to determining the proper equipment necessary to freeze the product quickly. Equally important is the positioning of the evaporators and plenum within the room to maximize air movement over the product. At very low temperatures required in a blast freezer, heat infiltration must be kept at a low level in order to minimize ice build up. Therefore, Worldwide Refrigeration has developed a heavy duty overlapped door to provide the tightest possible seal. All of these considerations combined with a variety of panel construction options provide the most cost effective solution possible for your blast freezing applications.

Illustration of walk-in plate freezer for a walk-in freezer, refrigerated warehouse, cold storage, commercial refrigeration or industrial refrigeration application.Plate Freezer:
Although the initial investment for a plate freezer is generally higher than for a blast freezer, a plate freezer does provide much greater protection against dehydration of a product during the freezing process. This occurs because a plate freezer is able to freeze the product faster and does so through the contact of the plates against the product rather than the flow of air over the product.

A plate freezer is made up of two main parts: the freezing unit and the insulated cabinet. Packages of product are placed on metal trays which are then set on the open plates inside the unit. When the plates are lowered hydraulically a continuous pressure is applied to assure complete surface contact and to keep the packages flat and square.

Self-contained refrigeration system includes a condensing unit and evaporator for a walk-in cooler and walk-in freezer

We also offer a series of "self-contained" refrigeration systems. With these systems the condensing unit and evaporator are combined in a single unit. The evaporator portion sits flush with the ceiling of the walk-in allowing for maximum use of the refrigerated space. The systems are fully assembled, charged with refrigerant and completely tested by the manufacturer. Many models come complete with a 26” power cord and 3-prong plug. All systems come with a condensate evaporation pan which eliminates the need for a drain line. An opening is made in a ceiling panel of your walk-in before it is shipped to easily accommodate the system. So upon arriving at the installation site, the system is simply dropped into the prepared opening. This allows for a very fast start up time. These units are shipped as part of a walk-in or may be shipped separately to incorporate into insulated rooms being built at the installation site with alternative construction methods. In either case, the installation is made fast and easy.
